Role & responsibilities

  • To Locate and develop Potential Suppliers
  • Excellent knowledge of Engineering Drawings and capable to read and interpret Engineering drawings
  • Should possess expertise in purchase/procurement management activities involving Planning, Techno-commercial negotiations and Budget Management
  • Regularly monitoring and updating procurement status wrt project BOM
  • To Compare and negotiate based on quality and delivery of the items
  • To Prepare purchase orders in line with the final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with the organizational targets and requirements
  • To release Purchase Orders abiding to Departmental Standard Operating Procedures, Governance and within the speculated time frame
  • To Co-ordinate with multifunctional departments including finance, design team, project team, quality, information security, legal etc. for smooth execution of daily activities.
  • To ensure continuous supply of required Goods and Services and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
  • To explore ways and means of Cost reductions
  • To maintain a Vendor database and Rationalize Vendors on a continuous basis
  • To attend Co-Ordination meetings with Internal departments and escalate issues, if any to Top Management
  • Other Roles include Inventory Management, Minimizing Stock Outs, On Time Deliveries,
  • To prepare MIS reports like Inventory, Cost Saving, Pending PRs, etc.
  • Should possess good knowledge of MS Office Tools
  • Should possess excellent Inter-personal skills

Preferred candidate profile

Responsible for Sourcing Suppliers, timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet customer order requirements and maintain stock inventory levels within approved guidelines.
