Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Android Developer to join our development team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance mobile applications for the Android platform. You'll work closely with our product, design, and backend teams to deliver top-notch experiences to our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android applications that provide a rich and seamless user experience.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets both technical and user experience standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in Android development.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and libraries into applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure consistent and user-friendly designs.
  • Test applications using unit and UI tests, and fix bugs and issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Android Developer or similar role with a solid portfolio of Android applications.
  • Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin, along with Android SDK.
  • Proficiency in Hybrid App development.
  • Experience with Android frameworks and APIs, such as Retrofit, Gson, or Dagger.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices for Android.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
  • Experience with databases like SQLite or Realm, and understanding of data storage techniques.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Android development tools like Android Studio, Gradle, and ADB.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with modern Android development tools and frameworks such as Jetpack, Compose, and Coroutines.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) workflows.
  • Experience with Android app testing frameworks like Espresso and JUnit.
  • Understanding of material design principles and guidelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud messaging services such as Firebase.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
