Job Description
creating, maintaining, and managing accurate lists of parts for manufacturing, acting as the crucial link between engineering, procurement, and production to ensure all components are correctly documented in ERP/PLM systems for smooth production, cost control, and product lifecycle management. Key tasks include data entry, handling engineering changes (ECNs/PCNs), collaborating with teams, ensuring data integrity, and supporting efficient production flow.
BOM Creation & Maintenance: Develop and update BOMs for new and existing products, ensuring all materials, parts, and quantities are accurately listed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, procurement, production, and sales to gather requirements and resolve discrepancies.
Change Management: Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Product Change Notices (PCNs) to implement design updates.
Data Management: Enter and maintain BOM data within ERP/MRP/PLM systems (e.g., item master, warehouse codes).
Production Support: Create and manage work orders, ensuring material availability for schedules.
Cost & Efficiency: Analyze BOMs to identify cost savings and improve production efficiency.
Auditing & Reporting: Conduct BOM audits and generate reports on accuracy, usage, and completion.
