Job description-

Position - Accountant

Skills - CA Intern complete, Accounting, P&L, Auditing

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) in accordance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

Account Reconciliation:

Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.

Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records.

General Ledger Management:

Maintain and update general ledger entries.

Review and post journal entries related to financial transactions.

Tax Compliance:

Assist with the preparation and filing of taxes, including VAT, sales tax, and corporate taxes.

Keep updated with changes in tax laws and ensure compliance.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the creation and monitoring of budgets, helping departments stay within their financial limits.

Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and forecasting.

Audit and Compliance:

Assist in preparing for audits by ensuring accurate and complete documentation of financial records.

Maintain compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.

Accounts Payable/Receivable:

Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.

Ensure timely payment of bills and receipts from customers.

Other Duties:

Provide financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Support management with financial modeling and strategic planning.

Perform ad-hoc financial duties and projects as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of tax laws and regulations (depending on location).

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification.

Experience with ERP systems.

Experience in a specific industry (e.g., retail, manufacturing) is a plus.
