Hostel Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day hostel operations and ensure smooth functioning.
• Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations.
• Oversee students' daily routines including wake-up, meals, study hours, recreation, and bedtime.
• Monitor the hygiene, cleanliness, and maintenance of hostel premises, rooms, and common areas.
• Maintain records of hostel attendance, leave, medical issues, and visitors.
• Address grievances and issues of hostel students promptly and empathetically.
• Coordinate with school administration, security staff, housekeeping, and medical staff regarding hostel matters.
• Conduct periodic inspections of hostel facilities and report repairs or replacements needed.
• Organize orientation sessions and counseling for new hostel entrants.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on hostel activities and student conduct.
• Ensure safety protocols, fire drills, and emergency procedures are followed.
• Act as the first point of contact for any emergencies during non-school hours.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduate in any discipline (preferably with experience in residential school hostels).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Compassionate, approachable, and able to handle adolescents with care.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations calmly.
• Willingness to stay on campus and be available round-the-clock.

* First preference will be given to the retired Army Officer.
