Key Responsibilities

Algorithm Development

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced pathfinding, routing, and optimization algorithms tailored for indoor navigation and asset tracking applications.
  • Apply deep knowledge of graph theory, optimization methods, and heuristic/metaheuristic algorithms to solve complex challenges such as accessibility, dynamic blockages, and multi-floor routing.
  • Develop and refine scalable, high-performance solutions for real-time location tracking and indoor wayfinding.
  • Establish and maintain benchmarking frameworks to evaluate algorithm performance, ensuring speed, accuracy, and robustness under diverse operational conditions.

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner closely with product managers, researchers, and engineering teams to integrate algorithms into production-grade systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance during deployment, assisting in troubleshooting and debugging algorithmic behavior in real-world environments.
  • Drive knowledge sharing by documenting algorithm design, workflows, and performance outcomes, enabling effective collaboration across teams.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the strategic direction of algorithmic innovation within the company.

Client & Team Coordination

  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, product managers, and internal research/engineering teams.
  • Provide guidance and training to end users on using optimization tools effectively.
  • Communicate technical findings and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in optimization algorithm development and software engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in C# and Python, with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Deep understanding of optimization techniques: linear/integer programming, constraint programming, metaheuristics, or machine learning-based optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and tuning optimization models in real-world applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in distributed teams.
