About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP Finance & Control (FICO) Consultant/Developer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in SAP FICO, ready to contribute immediately to challenging projects.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting SAP FICO solutions, playing a crucial role in enhancing our clients' financial and controlling processes. This is an immediate opportunity for an individual ready to relocate to Chennai if not already based there.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP FICO Solution Development & Implementation :

- Design, develop, configure, and implement robust SAP FICO solutions according to business requirements and best practices.

- Perform customizations in SAP FICO modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, CO-PA, etc.).

- Write efficient and well-documented ABAP code for custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEF objects).

Requirements Gathering & Solution Design :

- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, business users, and stakeholders to understand their financial and controlling requirements.

- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications for SAP FICO solutions.

- Propose innovative and optimal SAP solutions to address complex business challenges.

Support & Troubleshooting :

- Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for SAP FICO modules, identifying and resolving issues efficiently to minimize business disruption.

- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.

- Participate in incident management and problem resolution processes.

System Testing & Quality Assurance :

- Actively participate in various phases of testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data and processes within the SAP FICO system.

Documentation :

- Create and maintain comprehensive technical specifications, functional design documents, test scripts, and user manuals.

- Document configurations, custom developments, and solution architectures.

Continuous Improvement :

- Stay updated with the latest SAP FICO functionalities, industry trends, and best practices.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimizations within the SAP FICO landscape.

Required Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO development, implementation, and support projects.

Technical Proficiency : Strong proficiency in ABAP programming for SAP FICO modules.

Module Knowledge : In-depth knowledge and practical experience with core SAP FICO modules, including but not limited to :

- General Ledger (GL)

- Accounts Payable (AP)

- Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Asset Accounting (AA)

- Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

- Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

- Internal Orders (IO)

- Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)

- Product Costing (CO-PC)

Project Lifecycle Experience : Proven experience with at least one full lifecycle SAP FICO implementation project and significant experience in support/enhancement projects.

Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and provide effective solutions.

Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, business users, and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points) :

- Experience with integration of SAP FICO with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PP) and non-SAP systems.

- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and controlling business processes.

- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Finance.

- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.

- Relevant SAP FICO certifications.
