Job Purpose:

Responsible to supervise and manage the maintenance of civil infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, safety, and operational integrity of structures. The role involves overseeing preventive and routine maintenance tasks, ensuring safety compliance, managing vendor relationships, optimizing resource utilization, and contributing to special projects, including the digitization of maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

Civil Engineer – Copper

Breakdown and Routine Maintenance:

  • Supervise and manage maintenance activities for civil infrastructure, including buildings, roads, drainage systems, and related facilities.
  • Oversee the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and integrity of civil structures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify and address structural or maintenance issues promptly.

Safety Adherence:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards during maintenance activities.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to promote a safe working environment for the team and contractors.
  • Report and address any safety concerns or incidents in a timely manner.

Vendor Management:

  • Coordinate with external contractors to execute maintenance activities efficiently and in accordance with safety standards.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring that services meet the required quality and performance standards.
  • Monitor vendor performance and maintain accurate records of services provided and associated costs.

Training and Resource Utilization:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance team and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective execution of tasks.
  • Train team members and contractual workforce on best practices, safety procedures, and maintenance techniques.
  • Optimize the use of resources, including manpower and equipment, to achieve maintenance goals and improve operational efficiency.

Special Projects and Digitization:

  • Contribute to special projects related to civil infrastructure, including upgrades, repairs, and process improvements.
  • Support the development and implementation of maintenance strategies and programs to enhance infrastructure performance.
  • Participate in the integration of digital tools and solutions to improve maintenance processes and data management.

Qualifications

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field

Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred

Work Experience (Range of years):

3-10 years of experience in the metal (copper manufacturing) industry
