Job Description
We are hiring Mainframe Developers for a leading global investment banking client in Bangalore. The role involves designing, coding, and supporting enterprise-scale applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2. Candidates must have strong SQL knowledge, experience in debugging production issues, and willingness to work in shifts with on-call support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2.
- Perform debugging, coding fixes, and production implementation.
- Work on SQL queries, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
- Provide production support including shift-based and on-call duties.
- Collaborate with global teams in a fast-paced financial domain.
Must Have Skills
- Strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2.
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
- 57 years of mainframe development & support experience.
Good to Have
- Exposure to IBM MQ, GitHub, VS Code.
- Experience in banking / financial services domain.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools & processes.
