We are hiring for our client a leading Chemical Industry (MNC Company)

Position: Mechanical Engineer/ Mechanical Executive Manager

Experience: 5- 10 Years

Qualification: B.Tech/B.E - Mechanical

Location: Mettur

Industry Preference: Chemical, Petrochemical,Pharmaceutical

Key Purpose of the Job :

To carry out the responsibilities of daily maintenance of static and rotary equipment activities in Cuddalore PVC plant.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Responsible for maintaining the mechanical equipments

2. Maintaining records for specified area (ISBL - Inside boundary limit /OSBL - Outside boundary limit).

3. Spares planning

4. Responsible for modifications and fabrication jobs to be carried out

5. Carryout multidisciplinary role, working closely with colleagues across a number of functions, including production and other service departments

Indicative Tasks

1. Responsible for maintaining the mechanical equipments

• Planning and execution of Preventive Maintenance Schedule thereby ensuring zero down time
• Carry out condition monitoring and lubrication maintenance jobs as per schedule.
• Prepare Equipment specifications and review equipment drawings.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety practices and procedures.
• Mechanical maintenance during Shipment operation at MTF(member of Jetty operation crew)

Competencies

• Knowledge of reading machine drawings

• Knowledge about mechanical seals and ability to read seal drawings

• Knowledge on various Mechanical standards like ASME, ASTM, API, etc.

• Knowledge about pumps, compressors, blowers, gear box, centrifuge, and their O&M procedures

• Analytical ability

• Knowledge on problem solving techniques

• Knowledge on lubrication of equipment and able to review schedules for lubrication

• Knowledge on structural support and lifting devices

2. Maintaining records for specified area

• Preparation and updation of SOP and work instructions as per IMS guidelines - Good documentation skill
• Preparation and updation of HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment)
• Prepare and Review of PM,CM,LM and breakdown statistical reports
• Lubrication oil / Spent oil-consumption monitoring and accounting monthwise.
• Ensure proper closing of permits and other interdepartmental documents.

Competencies

• Working knowledge of Excel/MS Office

• Knowledge of IMS guidelines

• Knowledge of permits and LOTO system

3. Spares planning

• Identification of Spares requirement and ensure availability of all critical spares. Effective spares budget control by reducing non moving spares
• Identify cost effective / indiginized spares with out compromising quality
• Inspection of material received at Stores and physical stock verfiication at Engineering stores monthwise
• Creating Purchase requisitions/planning workshop general consumables in SAP
• Creating workflow in SANMARG

Competencies

• Ability to identify critical instruments and spares

• Skill on budget tracking

• Knowledge of local vendors and product range

• Knowledge on SAP and its modules

4. Responsible for modifications and fabrication jobs to be carried out

• Preparation of documents for new modification/fabrication/piping.(Management of change)
• Preparation of drawings for new modification/fabrication/piping.
• Coordination with fabrication team

Competencies

• Knowledge on welding standards and procedures - Knowledge of safety precautions while in a hot work

• Knowledge of drawing isometric and orthagonal drawings

• Coordination skills

5. Carryout multidisciplinary role, working closely with colleagues across a number of functions, including operations, purchase and other service departments

• Support the operation team for effective and efficient operation of the plant.
• Support the cross functional team and to meet the overall goals of the organisation
