Job Title: Senior Design Engineer – Wood Factory

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer with expertise in woodworking and furniture manufacturing. The role involves leading the design and development of wood-based products, creating detailed 2D and 3D designs, and ensuring designs are production-ready. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for wood-based products (furniture, joinery, fixtures, etc.) from concept to production.
• Develop and prepare accurate 2D drawings (AutoCAD) and 3D models (SolidWorks) for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
• Optimize designs for material efficiency, manufacturability, and durability.
• Review and approve junior engineers' and draftsmen's work, providing guidance and technical support.
• Conduct design feasibility studies, stress/load analysis (where applicable), and prototyping.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company design guidelines.
• Maintain organized design documentation, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and technical specifications.
• Support continuous improvement in design processes, tools, and standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in furniture/wood product design or related manufacturing industry.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting) and SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, renderings).
• Strong knowledge of woodworking materials (solid wood, MDF, veneers, laminates, etc.) and production processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, creativity, and technical drawing skills.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and manufacturability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40, ₹65,000.00 per month
