Key responsibilities

  • Prospecting and lead generation: Make outbound calls to identify and engage potential students, such as recent graduates, working professionals, or homemakers.
  • Sales and counseling: Explain the benefits of the institute's courses, provide detailed information on the curriculum, and guide potential students through the enrollment process.
  • Achieving sales targets: Work to meet or exceed predetermined sales quotas and contribute directly to the institute's revenue growth.
  • Customer relationship management: Handle inbound inquiries, resolve customer complaints, and follow up on leads to nurture relationships.
  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions.
  • Product knowledge: Stay up-to-date on all products, services, and industry trends to effectively communicate the institute's offerings.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal communication, persuasive speaking, and active listening are essential to effectively convey information and build rapport.
  • Sales acumen: The ability to handle objections, close sales, and demonstrate a clear understanding of sales techniques.
  • Customer focus: A professional and patient demeanor to handle different personalities and address customer needs effectively.
  • Technical proficiency: The ability to use CRM software and other necessary tools for call logging and record-keeping.
  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to different situations, manage time effectively, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Education: While not always mandatory, a high school diploma is standard, and a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field can be beneficial.
