We are looking for a skilled Big Data Test Engineer with expertise in Big Data Testing, ETL, SQL, SSRS, and Manual Testing. The role involves working on both enhancements and production support activities, ensuring data quality, validating ETL workflows, and supporting reporting processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and operations to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Big Data Testing across Hadoop/Big Data platforms, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Validate ETL processes, workflows, and data pipelines for enhancements and production support.
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate large datasets and transformations.
  • Conduct manual testing of enhancements, bug fixes, and data/report validation.
  • Support SSRS reports testing by validating report data, formatting, and logic.
  • Collaborate with business teams to analyze requirements, create test scenarios, and execute test plans.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues related to data quality and reporting.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and production incidents.
  • Ensure proper documentation of test results, test scripts, and production fixes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Big Data Testing (Hadoop ecosystem, HDFS, Hive, Spark, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in ETL Testing across multiple tools/platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL (writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, performance validation).
  • Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) testing.
  • Solid understanding of manual testing concepts (test planning, test case design, defect tracking).
  • Exposure to production support activities including incident management and bug fixes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
