Job Summary

We are seeking dynamic and experienced academic professionals for the post of Associate Professor / Professor in the Department of Agricultural Science & Engineering. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, a record of scholarly research, and a commitment to teaching, mentoring, and guiding students in agricultural science, technology, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academics

  • Deliver lectures and practical sessions in core areas such as Agronomy, Soil Science, Horticulture, Crop Science, Agricultural Engineering, etc.
  • Design and update curriculum as per latest UGC/ICAR/AICTE standards.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and theses.
  • Mentor and guide students academically and professionally.

Research & Development

  • Undertake high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Apply for research grants from government and private agencies.
  • Collaborate with national and international institutions for research and consultancy.

Administrative & Departmental Duties

  • Participate in departmental activities, committees, and academic planning.
  • Contribute to institutional development initiatives.
  • Support the development of laboratories, research farms, and field trials.

Industry & Extension Interface

  • Foster partnerships with agro-industries, NGOs, and rural development bodies.
  • Organize training programs, field visits, and agricultural extension activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Agricultural Science / Agricultural Engineering or relevant allied discipline.
  • M.Sc. / M.Tech in relevant subject with first class.

Experience:

  • As per UGC/ICAR/AICTE norms.
  • Proven track record in research publications, patents, projects, and academic leadership (especially for Professor role).

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong subject expertise and hands-on field knowledge
  • Experience in curriculum development and academic leadership
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with outcome-based education and modern pedagogy
