Job Overview The position of Supply Chain Manager (SC) is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for optimizing our supply chain and ensuring smooth operations across various functions. The SC will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of supply chain activities, which include procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics. In this capacity, the SC will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to enhance efficiency while minimizing costs. Given the increasingly globalized nature of supply chains, the SC will also be tasked with managing relationships across various geographic locations. This role is vital in driving strategic initiatives that contribute to the organization's overall success, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, fostering customer satisfaction, and maintaining competitive advantage in a rapidly changing market. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee the procurement process from supplier selection to contract negotiation.
  • Manage end-to-end inventory control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to align supply chain goals.
  • Monitor supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) and report on outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Lead projects to improve supply chain logistics and transportation methods.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.
  • Conduct regular audits of supply chain processes for compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize relationships with suppliers and logistics providers.
  • Utilize data analysis to forecast demand and adjust supply chain processes accordingly.
  • Ensure alignment of supply chain processes with organizational objectives.
  • Train, mentor, and lead supply chain team members.
  • Implement technology solutions to enhance supply chain operations.
  • Prepare and manage budgets related to supply chain activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain or logistics management.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Experience in vendor management and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of global supply chain operations.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Expertise in process improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in supply chain.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) are a plus.
