Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and develop plumbing and piping system designs including drainage, water supply, and HVAC systems using AutoCAD.
  • Review site requirements and develop layout drawings, schematic diagrams, and isometric drawings.
  • Design internal and external plumbing layouts in compliance with building codes and standards.
  • Ensure correct sizing and selection of pipes, fittings, valves, and other equipment for various systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Conduct site visits for assessment, layout marking, and installation coordination.
  • Review construction plans and specifications to determine detailed system requirements.
  • Modify designs based on site conditions, client feedback, and authority regulations.
  • Assist in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material specifications.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation and drawings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in AutoCAD/ plumbing/piping/HVAC designing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes, IS standards, and HVAC system integration.
  • Familiarity with fire fighting layouts and sanitation systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and site coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to MEP projects and working on large-scale construction sites.
  • Experience with Revit MEP or similar BIM tools.
  • Strong communication skills for effective site interaction and client handling.
