SAP Technical Analyst

Job Overview:

Focused initially on specialist end user support and resolution of issues with the platform evolving, as part of a dev ops structure, to support, design and develop, projects and maintaining live services.

With at least a B.Tech or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in SAP FIORI and SAP ABAP.

Based in our Bengaluru office on a 16x5 shift pattern with on call on a rota basis.

Core Responsibilities:

• Providing L2 and L3 support for SAP FIORI and SAP ABAP.
• Test and implement SAP FIORI features.
• Collaborating with technical teams you will be part of all phases of support, software configuration, development, and implementation lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, including custom app development and standard app extensions.
• Strong programming expertise in ABAP, ABAP OO, and SAP enhancement frameworks (BADI, BAPI, User Exits).
• Develop and consume OData services to enable seamless integration between SAP front-end and back-end systems.
• Configure and customize SAP Fiori Launchpad, including tile creation, catalog/group management, and role-based access control.
• Connect Fiori applications securely to SAP backend systems and manage security aspects like authentication, authorization, and secure communication.
• Apply Fiori design principles and leverage Fiori Elements and SmartControls for rapid application development.
• Apply SAP Gateway and SAP NetWeaver technologies for building scalable solutions.
• Work with Core Data Services (CDS) views and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDPs) for optimized data retrieval.
• Apply knowledge of the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) for modern application development.
• Develop solutions following DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git/GitFlow, Jenkins, Selenium, and JMeter/BlazeMeter.
• Support SAP Fiori and ABAP environments through Incident, Request, Change, and Problem Management processes in line with ITIL standard methodologies.
• Participate in release and deployment management activities, ensuring alignment to the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Perform operational support activities, including proactive issue resolution, root cause analysis, and documentation of known issues and solutions.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and high-quality work.
• This role involves working in a rotational shift schedule.

"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience:

• SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP CPI or other relevant SAP certifications.
• Knowledge of ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• SAP HANA and CDS Views development skills
• Experienced with development practices such as Waterfall, Agile.
• Experienced working in a global, diverse and multicultural environment
