Job Description: Backend Python Developer (FastAPI)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Python Developer with strong expertise in FastAPI to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services. You will work closely with front-end engineers, DevOps, and product managers to build high-performance APIs and backend systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
  • Integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and ensure optimized queries.
  • Implement authentication & authorization (JWT/OAuth2).
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code.
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship features.
  • Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor and debug production systems for performance and stability.
  • Stay updated with latest Python backend frameworks & cloud technologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in backend development (Python).
  • Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI (or Flask/Django with willingness to move to FastAPI).
  • Proficiency in Python 3.7+ and asynchronous programming (async/await).
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis).
  • Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes for containerization and deployment.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
  • Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
