Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled
Android Power Optimization Engineer
to lead the development and optimization of smartphone software power consumption systems. This role is critical in improving device performance, extending battery life, and driving innovation in energy-efficient technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define power consumption standards, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure world-class battery performance across Transsion smartphone products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the construction of the
    smartphone software power consumption system
    and
    battery life optimization initiatives
    .
  • Optimize the
    battery life design process
    and establish
    standardized benchmarks
    for power consumption.
  • Guide
    software and hardware module teams
    in power consumption optimization and provide expert technical direction.
  • Evaluate
    new platform power performance
    , conduct feasibility analysis, and generate detailed technical reports.
  • Drive the
    development and implementation of advanced power-saving technologies
    for smartphones.
  • Lead
    technical planning and special projects
    related to system-level power optimization.
  • Investigate and resolve
    critical technical challenges
    associated with smartphone power consumption, performance, and thermal management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong understanding of
    core processes of power-related services in the FWK (Framework) layer
    .
  • Proficient in
    common power debugging tools and techniques
    .
  • In-depth knowledge of
    Android OS modules
    (AMS, WMS, PowerManager, AlarmManager, Doze), with hands-on troubleshooting expertise.
  • Proficient in
    Android system and Linux kernel power management
    .
  • Extensive experience in
    smartphone power analysis, performance, thermal design, and optimization methodologies
    .
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to
    handle critical technical challenges
    .
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
