Telugu Screenwriter

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced
Telugu Screenwriter
to join our team and contribute to our upcoming vertical drama series. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Telugu culture, language, and storytelling nuances, with a proven ability to craft engaging, fast-paced narratives optimized for vertical video formats. You will be responsible for developing concepts, writing synopses, character arcs, and full scripts that resonate with a contemporary Telugu-speaking audience.

Responsibilities

• Concept Development:
  Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop original concepts and storylines for vertical drama series.
• Scriptwriting:
  Write compelling and concise scripts, ensuring they are optimized for vertical viewing (e.g., strong visual focus, rapid pacing, impactful dialogue).
• Character Development:
  Create well-rounded, relatable, and memorable characters that drive the narrative forward.
• Cultural Nuance:
  Infuse scripts with authentic Telugu cultural elements, idioms, and social contexts to ensure resonance with the target audience.
• Adaptation:
  Potentially adapt existing stories or concepts into the vertical drama format, maintaining core themes while innovating for the medium.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with directors, producers, and other writers to refine scripts, incorporate feedback, and ensure creative vision alignment.
• Research:
  Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and authenticity in storylines and character portrayals.
• Deadlines:
  Meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  Proven experience as a screenwriter, ideally with a portfolio showcasing work in drama, short films, web series, or similar narrative content. Experience with vertical video content is a significant plus.
• Language Proficiency:
  Native-level proficiency in written and spoken Telugu is essential.
• Storytelling Skills:
  Exceptional storytelling abilities with a strong grasp of narrative structure, pacing, and dialogue.
• Understanding of Vertical Format:
  Demonstrated understanding of the unique requirements and opportunities of vertical video storytelling.
• Creativity:
  A highly creative mind with the ability to generate fresh and innovative ideas.
• Collaboration:
  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Attention to Detail:
  Meticulous attention to detail in script formatting, grammar, and continuity.
• Cultural Awareness:
  Deep knowledge and appreciation of Telugu culture, traditions, and contemporary trends.
• Education:
  Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Mass Communication, Creative Writing, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.
