Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, handling billing and invoicing, coordinating with vendors and clients, and ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process in Tally/ERP.
  • Prepare and process client and vendor invoices.
  • Data/Journal Entry
  • Assist in monthly closings and preparation of financial reports.
  • Track accounts receivable and follow up on pending payments.
  • Support audit processes by providing required documentation.
  • Maintain proper records of petty cash, office expenses, and reimbursements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors for finance-related matters.
  • Support senior accountants and finance head in various finance and accounting tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in accounting (preferably in a media/advertising agency).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally Prime or equivalent).
  • Good understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in agency billing systems (DAVP, PSU clients, barter billing, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of reconciliation of media invoices and release orders.
