Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management System (QMS):

  • Assist in establishing, maintaining, and improving the QMS as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards.
  • Monitor quality objectives, internal audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure proper documentation, control of records, and implementation of SOPs across departments.

2. Auditing & Compliance:

  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits for NABL accreditation and FSSAI recognition.
  • Prepare and maintain audit reports, track non-conformities, and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (NABL, FSSAI, EIC, etc.) and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.

3. Laboratory Operations Support:

  • Monitor test methods, validation, calibration, and proficiency testing programs.
  • Ensure all testing is performed as per standard methods and quality protocols.
  • Support technical teams in ensuring traceability and reliability of test results.

4. Training & Development:

  • Conduct training sessions for laboratory staff on quality practices, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Build awareness about regulatory and accreditation requirements among team members.

5. Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas of improvement in laboratory systems and processes.
  • Implement quality initiatives for efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in Food Technology / Microbiology / Chemistry / Biotechnology or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a food testing laboratory with strong exposure to quality management systems.
  • Proven experience in NABL accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) audits and FSSAI regulatory audits.
  • Knowledge of national/international food testing standards, GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and ISO standards.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth understanding of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and FSSAI compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with audit preparation, execution, and closure.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.
  • Eye for detail with excellent record-keeping and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams under strict deadlines.
