Role Overview :

We are looking for a skilled and experienced SAP HANA DBA to manage, maintain, optimize, and secure our SAP HANA database environment. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and scalability of SAP HANA systems which support missioncritical business applications. You will be part of the technical / operations / DB team collaborating across basis, infrastructure, development, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade SAP HANA database systems. Adzuna+1
  • Plan, design, and implement Hana environments including MDC (MultiTenant Database Container) and NonMDC setups. Adzuna+1
  • Perform regular database maintenance tasks: backups, restores, disaster recovery, failover / takeover operations. Indeed+2Dice+2
  • Monitor system health, performance, resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage), and proactively tune and optimize. Dice+2Adzuna+2
  • Troubleshoot database issues and incidents: slow queries, system hang, memory leaks, etc.; perform rootcause analysis. Dice+1
  • Manage users, roles, authorizations; configure and enforce security policies, auditing, logging. Indeed+1
  • Set up alerting, monitoring, and trace/log analysis; handle audits and compliance requirements. Dice+1
  • Participate in migrations (onprem to cloud or HANA version upgrades), data provisioning, data modeling as needed. Adzuna+1
  • Ensure high availability (HA) configurations, disaster recovery planning and regular DR tests. Dice+1
  • Document architecture, configurations, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), runbooks; assist in capacity planning. Adzuna+1
  • Mentor / guide junior DBAs; work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams (Basis, infra, developers

Required Skills & Experience :
