About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanical Officer to ensure the optimal functioning, reliability, and safety of all mechanical systems and equipment in our paint manufacturing plant. This role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and contributing to mechanical infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine preventive and breakdown maintenance on plant mechanical systems (pumps, mixers, mills, filling machines, conveyors, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, piping, valves). Ensure compliance with standards and safety. Assist with new equipment installation and precision tasks (alignment, lubrication).

Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical faults using diagrams and tools. Identify root causes and implement effective repairs. Provide technical support.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all mechanical safety protocols, LOTO procedures, and company policies. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure proper use of PPE.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repair logs, spare parts, and equipment history. Generate reports on performance and costs. Update drawings.

Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for mechanical system upgrades and efficiency improvements. Propose and implement solutions to enhance reliability and reduce costs. Participate in RCA/FMEA.

Required Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

2-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the paint, coatings, chemicals, or process manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and material handling systems.

Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, precision maintenance, and diagnostic tools.

Familiarity with mechanical safety codes, regulations, and best practices.

Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant mechanical licenses or certifications (e.g., CMRP).

Experience with CMMS or EAM software.

Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing or TPM principles.
