The Quality Data Analyst provides reporting, analytics, and project coordination for the Quality, Risk, and Regulatory Management department. This role delivers accurate, timely dashboards, scorecards, and reports to improve patient care and operational performance. The analyst develops and maintains data mart structures, builds SQL objects (tables, views, stored procedures), and participates in enterprise data governance, metadata, and master data initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop dashboards, KPI reports, charts, and statistical models to support decision-making.
- Analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse and clinical systems.
- Build and manipulate SQL tables, views, and stored procedures.
- Gather benchmarking data through Vizient, public reporting sites, and related sources.
- Integrate evidence-based guidelines into reporting.
- Manage input and output of data for quality improvement initiatives.
- Use data tools to report on external factors impacting healthcare quality and operations.
- Support peer review and performance measurement.
- Apply Lean methodologies in performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide weekly updates to Quality Analytics leadership and project managers.
- Maintain systems and databases for Quality, Risk, and Regulatory programs.
- Use specialized statistical tools and train others in interpretation.
- Evaluate automated systems for improved efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., Physician Leaders, Infection Control, Nursing, Decision Support).
- Lead creation and refinement of metrics to drive performance and meet regulations.
- Support database design and performance improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to organizational policies, performance standards, compliance, and confidentiality.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, IT, or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience:
- 3–5 years in analytics or related field.
Skills & Training:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Experience with external comparative databases.
- Proficient in SQL (tables, views, stored procedures, queries).
- Statistical analysis and quality data improvement.
Certifications:
- None required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or healthcare clinical experience.
- Training in Statit, Microsoft Visual Studio, Business Objects, Lean Six Sigma, Tableau.
- Certifications such as CPHQ or Lean/Six Sigma.
- Experience in data visualization, hypothesis testing, and presenting to senior leaders.
- Strong problem-solving, independence, and creativity.
