Principal / Senior Cloud Engineer – KubernetesJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Principal/Senior Cloud Engineer – Kubernetes to design, build, and manage large-scale, distributed cloud-native systems. The role involves developing and managing Kubernetes operators, ensuring high availability, scaling, and resiliency of services, and driving best practices for cloud container management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate and implement design specifications into scalable cloud-native solutions.
  • Drive best practices for container orchestration and management on Kubernetes (K8S).
  • Build and manage Kubernetes Operators with Product CRDs.
  • Implement K8S rolling upgrades, backup/restore, and automatic failover strategies.
  • Manage Kubernetes scaling (horizontal/vertical), monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Optimize K8S storage volume management for performance and availability.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience with:
  • Kubernetes (operators, cluster operations)
  • Docker and container lifecycle management
  • Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency in Golang (mandatory) for building operators and automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kafka, Kafka Streams, or event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of gRPC protocol for microservices communication.
  • Familiarity with Zookeeper, ETCD, or Consul for distributed coordination.
  • Strong skills in multi-threaded programming and OS-level performance tuning.

Pay: ₹2,600,000.00 per year
