Job Purpose
To lead, develop, and oversee the companys Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) functions across all projects, ensuring adherence to contract specifications, IS codes, and ISO 9001:2015 standards. The role aims to promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement while ensuring all deliverables meet or exceed client Quality Planning and Documentation
- Develop and implement project-specific QA & QC Plans aligned with contract requirements,
specifications, and relevant IS codes.
- Ensure all Quality Plans are consistent with corporate quality policy and ISO 9001:2015 principles.
- Review and approve quality documentation prepared by site QA/QC engineers.
- Standardize and maintain test report formats, checklists, and registers across all project sites.
- Technical Support and Compliance
- Provide technical guidance to site teams on field and laboratory testing, material approvals, and quality control methods.
- Ensure compliance with MORTH, IRC, and CPWD guidelines and IS standards.
- Conduct periodic site visits for inspections, audits, and issue resolution related to QA/QC.
- Liaise with Client/PMC representatives for approvals, clarifications, and quality inspections.
- Laboratory and Vendor Management
- Ensure laboratory setups at project sites are adequately equipped, calibrated, and maintained.
- Identify and coordinate with NABL-accredited or government-approved laboratories for material testing.
- Develop and maintain an approved vendor list for all quality-related services.
- Quality Control, Audits, and Reporting
- Monitor compliance with ISO 9001:2015 QMS across all projects.
- Conduct internal quality audits and facilitate third-party or client audits.
- Review Monthly Quality Reports from sites and prepare consolidated reports for management.
- Maintain accurate records of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), and ensure timely closures.
- Approvals and Dispute Resolution
- Ensure timely approvals for mix designs, material sources, method statements, and samples.
- Address and resolve quality disputes and non-conformances in accordance with contract terms, IS codes, and approved QAPs.
- Quality Improvement and Training
- Initiate quality improvement programs based on audit outcomes and project performance trends.
- Organize training sessions and workshops for QA/QC engineers and site sta.
- Promote awareness of quality standards and best practices across project teams.
- Drive initiatives to reduce rework and wastage through proactive quality planning and monitoring.
- Strategic and Leadership Focus
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, process optimization, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Work in full compliance with the companys Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Contribute to the companys strategic goal of delivering high-quality projects that meet or exceed client and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering (Masters preferred).
- Minimum years of experience in QA/QC within the construction/infrastructure industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IS codes, IRC, MORTH, CPWD, and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Proven experience in quality audits, mix design approvals, material testing, and laboratory Skills and Attributes:
- Deep understanding of quality management systems in large-scale construction.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interface with clients, PMCs, and internal teams.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and zero-defect delivery.
