Job Responsibilities:

A. Project Monitoring Artificial Insemination & Ration Balancing

  1. Plan, Budget and monitor AI & RBP activities of the assigned location

  2. Ensure quality genetics are provided to Mobile Artificial Insemination Technician (MAIT) through robust AI delivery network

  3. Ensure compliances with the breeding policy of the state.

  4. To manage, reconcile technical data of Information Network for Animal Productivity and Health (INAPH) and timely rectification with the help of entry team.

  5. Train, direct. Motivate and monitor the performance of MAIT and attend periodical meetings.

  6. Conduct awareness program on Ethno Veterinary Medicines (EVM) for farmers under MCPP project

  7. Selection of Model Dairy Farms for implementation & management, selection of villages for RBP implementation

  8. To supplement cattle feed sales and mineral mixture among the farmers through awareness programs

  9. Identify, conduct & demonstrate fodder development techniques farmers i.e. silage making, mower usage, construction of biomass & storage silos.

  10. Track & monitor IT assets required in project implementation i.e. netbook, mobile, CUG cards etc.

  11. Conduct farmers education & awareness programs related to AI, RBP and various other livestock management techniques.

B. Veterinary Services, Treatment & Surgical Procedures

  1. Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.

  2. Inoculate animals against various diseases, such as FMD, HS, and BQ.

  3. Examine animals to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries.

  4. Collect body tissue, feces, blood, urine, or other body fluids for examination and analysis.

  5. Educate the public about diseases that can be spread from animals to humans.

  6. Advise animal owners regarding sanitary measures, feeding, general care, medical conditions, or treatment options.

  7. Conduct training, awareness sessions for farmers.

  8. Train or supervise team and technicians for handling or care of animals.

  9. Perform administrative & management tasks, such as scheduling appointments, attending treatment calls, accepting payments, budgeting, or maintaining records & MIS.

  10. Conduct postmortem studies and analyses to determine the causes of animals' deaths.

  11. Specialize in a particular type of treatment, such as dentistry, pathology, nutrition, surgery, microbiology, or internal medicine.

  12. Inspect and test cattles to detect the presence of communicable diseases.

  13. Establish or conduct quarantine or testing procedures that prevent the spread of diseases to other animals or to humans and that comply with applicable government regulations.

  14. Drive mobile clinic vans to villages for treatment and prevention.

  15. Veterinary Surgical Tools Knowledge Required
