Job Opening: CNC / SPM Supervisor

Location: Verna, Goa (Factory / Shop Floor)

Experience Required: 8–10 Years

Education: ITI / Diploma (Mechanical or related trade preferred)

10th / 12th candidates may be considered only with strong CNC / SPM shop-floor experience.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on CNC / SPM shop-floor leadership role. You will be fully accountable for production output, machine utilization, quality, manpower, downtime, losses, safety, and continuous improvement.

This role requires ownership. If machines stop, rejection increases, or targets are missed—you are expected to take immediate corrective action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control CNC / SPM machine operations on a daily basis
  • Ensure 100% planned production output with minimum rejection
  • Set, monitor, and optimize machine parameters, tooling, and cycle times
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance
  • Reduce machine downtime, loss hours, scrap, and rework
  • Train operators on machine operation, quality checks, and safety
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions
  • Maintain production, downtime, rejection, and maintenance records
  • Monitor tools, consumables, and spare parts inventory
  • Ensure proper packing, labeling, and material storage
  • Maintain 5S, safety compliance, and shop-floor discipline
  • Drive continuous improvement, productivity improvement, and cost reduction
  • Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams
  • Report daily, weekly, and monthly performance to the Department Head

Technical Knowledge Required

  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining and Special Purpose Machines (SPM)
  • Hands-on experience with machine setup, tool setting, offsets, and changeovers
  • Knowledge of jigs, fixtures, gauges, and inspection methods
  • Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
  • Cycle time optimization and process improvement
  • Monitoring of rework, rejection, and wastage
  • Manpower handling and operator skill development
  • Full ownership of CNC / SPM department activities
