Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in the manufacturing industry to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing cost accounting, and contributing to financial strategy and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial records.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses and full compliance with audit requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory requirements including tax filings (GST, VAT, Income Tax, etc.).

Cost Accounting & Inventory Management:

  • Oversee and manage cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Analyze product costing and BOM (Bill of Materials) structures to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts with physical stock, coordinating with operations and warehouse teams.

Process Improvements & Internal Controls:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operational accounting.
  • Strengthen internal controls, ensuring robust financial governance and risk management practices.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, supply chain, etc.) to ensure financial accuracy across departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
  • Experience: 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (advanced level).
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures, inventory accounting, and financial controls.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
