Overview: The SAP ABAP Developer with Workflow and MM expertise plays a critical role in the enhancement, customization, and performance optimization of the SAP systems within our organization. As a member of the IT department, the developer is responsible for creating and implementing effective ABAP programs, ensuring that our Supply Chain Management processes run seamlessly. The role is essential for optimizing the functionalities within the Materials Management (MM) module, thus directly impacting operational efficiency and business continuity. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration between various modules and promote best practices in SAP development. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to the organization's capability to meet its strategic objectives through effective supply chain processes and robust system functionalities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, code, and test ABAP programs in accordance with functional specifications and technical requirements.
  • Design and implement workflows to streamline processes within SAP.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements for MM module enhancements.
  • Perform debugging and troubleshooting of ABAP programs and workflows.
  • Ensure proper integration between different SAP modules, especially MM and other related modules.
  • Participate in system and integration testing, ensuring that changes meet business needs.
  • Document all development processes, workflows, and modifications clearly and thoroughly.
  • Monitor and optimize performance of existing ABAP programs to enhance system efficiency.
  • Conduct unit testing and assist in user acceptance testing.
  • Train and support end-users on new or modified applications.
  • Maintain existing technical documentation related to processes and programs.
  • Implement data migration strategies for MM module enhancements.
  • Identify areas of improvement in current SAP landscape and propose solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the IT support team to resolve system issues.
  • Participate in project planning and execution, working within deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Proven expertise in SAP Workflow and Materials Management (MM) module.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and database concepts in SAP.
  • Experience with SAP enhancement frameworks and custom developments.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori and user experience design principles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with business and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and other programming languages is preferred.
  • Certifications in SAP ABAP or MM module will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with Hana database will be a plus.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and project management principles.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality outcomes.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure.
