Responsibilities of an Interior Designer

  1. Client Interaction & Requirement Gathering

  2. Meet clients to discuss design needs, budget, and timeline.

  3. Prepare mood boards, sketches, or 3D visualizations.

  4. Design Development

  5. Create conceptual designs, layouts, and detailed drawings.

  6. Select furniture, lighting, fittings, and finishes.

  7. Ensure designs balance functionality, safety, and style.

  8. Project Planning & Budgeting

  9. Prepare cost estimates and material specifications.

  10. Align design choices with client's budget.

  11. Schedule timelines for execution.

  12. Coordination & Execution

  13. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and suppliers.

  14. Supervise work on-site to ensure design accuracy.

  15. Manage quality control of materials and workmanship.

  16. Compliance & Safety

  17. Ensure designs follow building codes, accessibility, and safety standards.

  18. Project Handover & Review

  19. Final walkthrough with client.

  20. Make corrections or adjustments if needed.
