Project Site Engineer

• Project supervision and execution: Manage all on-site construction activities and direct the work of contractors, subcontractors, and the labor force.

• Quality control: Conduct regular site inspections and tests to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory codes.

• Resource management: Organize and manage the efficient use of on-site resources, including labor, equipment, and materials. This involves scheduling material deliveries and tracking inventory to prevent waste.

• Problem-solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues that arise on-site, such as design errors or unforeseen site conditions. This requires providing technical advice to the construction crew and making quick, practical decisions.

• Reporting and documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of construction progress, including daily logs, site diaries, and reports on material usage.

• Coordination and communication: Serve as a key point of contact on-site, liaising with the project manager, architects, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to provide status updates and manage expectations.

• Scheduling and timelines: Monitor project progress against the agreed-upon timeline and adjust work schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.

Required skills and qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, Diploma in Civil or a related field is typically required. Local language Kannada preferred.

• Experience: Proven experience in a site engineering or similar on-site construction role is essential. The level of experience will vary depending on whether the position is for an entry-level or senior role. (Minimum fresher to 3 years)

• Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant safety and building regulations.

• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve on-site issues.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and vendors. Local language Kannada also preferred.

• Leadership: Strong organizational and leadership abilities to supervise teams, delegate tasks, and motivate workers.

• Attention to detail: Meticulous focus on accuracy for measurements, quality inspections, and project documentation.
