  • Job Summary

We are hiring an Active Network & Security Engineer — a hands-on professional who thrives on solving live network challenges. This role is not about sitting back and monitoring dashboards; it's about building, securing, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise networks while keeping critical devices — from switches to scanners — running flawlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain network performance and uptime across enterprise environments.
  • Design and implement network configurations; oversee installations, upgrades, and expansions.
  • Configure and manage Layer 2/3 switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco, Aruba, HP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, etc.).
  • Monitor and fine-tune routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) for efficiency and stability.
  • Manage VLANs, STP, port security, link aggregation, and segmentation to optimize network traffic and security.
  • Troubleshoot network incidents, outages, and connectivity issues, ensuring fast resolution and long-term fixes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation: topology diagrams, IP inventories, configuration backups, and standards.
  • Configure and support barcode scanners, label printers, and retail/warehouse devices (Zebra, Honeywell, etc.).
  • Collaborate with network architects, vendors, and security teams on system optimization and compliance.
  • Secure the environment by enforcing network access controls, rules, and policies.
  • Stay ahead by upgrading skills, monitoring new technologies, and applying best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

  • CCNA certification (mandatory); CCNP, Fortinet NSE4/5, or CompTIA Network+ preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
  • Experience supporting barcode scanners, printers, and connected warehouse/retail devices.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Proactive mindset — not just maintaining the network, but actively improving and securing it.
