Nirmaan Organization, founded by BITS Pilani students in 2005, is a registered NGO focused on Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Social Leadership. Over the past 20 years, the organization has positively impacted over 4 million beneficiaries, supported by over 600 full-time employees and a volunteer network of more than 10,000 people. Nirmaan generates significant social impact through 40 flagship programs and initiatives benefiting diverse groups, including children, women, youth, PwD, LGBTQ+, and farmers, across 24+ states in India. The organization collaborates with over 200 corporate, government, and philanthropic partners to drive its mission forward.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Volunteering Lead based in Hyderabad. The Volunteering Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing volunteer programs, coordinating with volunteers and staff, developing volunteer training and engagement strategies, and ensuring successful implementation of volunteering activities. The candidate will also be tasked with building relationships with external partners, monitoring and evaluating volunteer performance, and reporting on the impact of volunteer initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in volunteer management and program coordination
  • Skills in developing training and engagement strategies for volunteers
  • Relationship-building and networking skills with corporate, government, and philanthropic partners
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate volunteer performance and impact
  • Experience in or understanding of the NGO sector is beneficial
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field is preferred
  • Presentation Skills and Time Management Skills are preferred.
