Lead Software Engineer

We are looking for a full-stack developer with strong programming experience. The role will play an integral role in the ongoing application design, development, and maintenance of a number of platforms in the Cloud based Data Distribution business area.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze, Design, Code, Build - crafting front end and backend components as per LSEG guidelines.
Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other developers to rapidly build, test, and deploy code.
Work in cross-team modules on new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Participate in and contribute towards code reviews, bug/issue triage, and documentation.
Develop scalable, reusable software components in line with architectural standards.
Craft relevant and critical capabilities with the highest quality of results ensuring minimal or no defect leakages.
Implement automated test–unit and integration tests for continuous integration and maintenance.
Responsible for solving problems and application support issues.
Experience in prioritizing multiple requirements at a time and as a member of the project team(s) or as part of a specialist cross-project team on multiple developments.
Responsible for ensuring non-functional requirements (such as performance, auditing, security, and support) are considered during development.
Responsible for technical analysis and producing documentation.
Participate in agile ceremonies: Sprint planning, Scrum, Sprint demo, retrospectives, etc.
Awareness on industry standard methodologies and latest development and design principles would be a desired value addition.
10+ years of software development experience.

Required Technical Skills 

Detailed experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS
Excellent database and SQL experience (ideally MySQL and/or PostgreSQL), with tables, views, and stored procedures. Ability to performance tune the queries, views, and procedures.
Lots of exposure to AWS Components Lambda, S3, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, Aurora
Detailed experience with development tooling (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and CI/CD applications (Jenkins, Terraform)
Proven ability to complete assigned work in timely and quality manner.
Great teamwork skill with peer group (Scrum/Agile team)
Effective communication skills with Business Partners:  end-users, user groups and product owners
