PHP Laravel Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled PHP Laravel Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP development, experience with the Laravel framework, and a passion for building high-quality, scalable web applications. You will work closely with our design and development teams to implement new features, improve existing functionalities, and ensure the overall performance and security of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Maintain Web Applications:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain secure and scalable web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
  • Work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to create intuitive and user-friendly applications.
  • Database Design and Management:
  • Design, maintain, and optimize database schemas using MySQL or other relational database systems.
  • API Integration:
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into existing and new applications.
  • Code Quality and Reviews:
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging:
  • Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other issues to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Security:
  • Implement and maintain security best practices to safeguard applications and data.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of the codebase, APIs, and application processes.
  • Stay Updated:
  • Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in PHP, Laravel, and web development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a PHP developer with a focus on Laravel.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and MVC architecture.
  • Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as , React, or Angular (optional).
  • Proficiency in database management, including MySQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Experience with server-side tools and deployment (e.g., Apache, Nginx, Docker).
  • Knowledge of web application security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as PHPUnit or Codeception.
  • Experience with Laravel packages like Passport, Horizon, Nova, or Scout.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Laravel in a professional environment.
