Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the organization's interests.
  • Provide legal advice and support on corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Assist in managing litigation, disputes, and legal proceedings, liaising with external counsel as required.
  • Conduct legal research and keep the management informed about changes in laws and regulations impacting the company.
  • Support HR in handling labour laws, employment agreements, disciplinary procedures, and employee relations issues.
  • Maintain proper records of all legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure adherence to legal standards and risk mitigation.
  • Assist in drafting company policies, procedures, and internal compliance frameworks.
  • Participate in board meetings and prepare minutes, resolutions, and filings as needed.
  • Monitor and follow up on regulatory filings, licenses, and approvals.
  • Provide training or awareness sessions on legal and compliance matters to employees.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification: Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university; additional corporate law certifications or LLM is a plus.
  • Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience in corporate legal advisory, preferably with hands-on exposure to labour laws and compliance.
  • Skills: Strong drafting and negotiation skills, good understanding of Indian legal system and regulatory frameworks, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Traits: Analytical mind set, attention to detail, proactive, ability to handle confidential information with integrity, and good team player.
  • Technology: Comfortable with legal research tools and MS Office suite.
