The ITI Diploma Technician is responsible for operating machines, performing maintenance tasks, and supporting production activities. The role involves following safety standards, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth workflow in the department.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operation

  • Operate and monitor machines as per SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
  • Adjust machine settings as required.
  • Ensure proper functioning of production equipment.

2. Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform basic maintenance on machinery.
  • Assist senior technicians in repairing equipment breakdowns.
  • Conduct routine inspections and report faults.

3. Technical Work

  • Read and follow technical drawings and instructions.
  • Use tools like drills, grinders, wrenches, and measuring instruments.
  • Support in installation of new machinery.

4. Quality Control

  • Check product quality during and after production.
  • Report defective items or abnormalities.
  • Maintain accuracy and follow company quality standards.

5. Documentation

  • Maintain logs of work done, production counts, and machine status.
  • Fill job cards, checklists, and maintenance records.

6. Safety & Cleanliness

  • Follow all safety rules and wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines and work area.
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately.

Skills Required

  • Basic knowledge of machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and SOPs.
  • Good troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifts.
  • Discipline, punctuality, and teamwork.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Ability to use measuring tools like vernier caliper, micrometer.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance.
