About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
Lead Snowflake Data Engineer
with strong hands-on experience in
Snowflake, Medallion Architecture, ADF-based ELT pipelines, and enterprise data warehousing
.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in
performance optimization, ingestion frameworks, SnowSQL, SnowSight, and star schema design
, along with SnowPro certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of
    Snowflake-based data warehouses
    and scalable data platforms
  • Build end-to-end
    ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    as the primary tool
  • Implement
    data ingestion
    , handling duplicates, metadata strategies, and medallion framework
  • Develop optimized
    SnowSQL scripts, materialized views, tasks, stored procedures
  • Architect star schemas
    and dimensional data models for analytics
  • Perform
    query tuning and performance optimization
    on Snowflake workloads
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions
  • Define data standards, documentation, and reusable frameworks
  • Use
    SnowSight
    for monitoring, debugging, and auditing Snowflake environments
  • Leverage DBT (bonus) for transformation workflows when applicable

Required Skills

  • 7+ years
    in data engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Snowflake experience
    (mandatory)
  • Proven expertise in:
  • Medallion Architecture
  • Star Schema Design
  • Query & Performance Optimization
  • Duplicate Data Handling
  • SnowSQL, SnowSight
  • Strong experience in
    ADF
    as the primary ELT tool
  • Ability to demonstrate real-time data ingestion patterns (files, APIs, CDC, etc.)
  • Experience building
    scalable, enterprise-level data warehouses
  • Understanding of Snowflake materialized views, tasks, streams, and warehouses
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills

Certifications

  • SnowPro Core Certification – Mandatory
  • SnowPro Advanced Certifications
    preferred (any of the below):
  • Data Engineering
  • Data Analysis
  • Architecture

Good to Have

  • Hands-on experience with
    DBT
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data deployment
