Role Description

This is a full-time role for a HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Testing Engineer located in Bangalore. The HIL Testing Engineer will be responsible for developing and performing hardware-in-the-loop simulations to validate automotive software functionalities. Responsibilities include writing test cases, analyzing test results, troubleshooting hardware and software integration issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance. The engineer will also be tasked with improving existing HIL testing strategies and maintaining testing frameworks and platforms.

Qualifications

  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, automotive systems testing, and validation processes
  • Proficiency in developing and scripting test cases using tools such as dSPACE, VT System Vector tools, or similar
  • Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, or FlexRay
  • Skills in debugging and resolving hardware and software integration issues
  • Knowledge in programming or scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++
  • A strong analytical mindset and problem-solving approach
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience in the automotive or mobility industry is a plus
