The role involves managing the current Blue Prism-based automation landscape, exploring emerging technologies like Power Automate and AI/LLM integrations, and ensuring scalability, performance, and governance of automation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and implementation of RPA solutions primarily using Blue Prism, with potential adoption of Power Automate and other tools.Evaluate and recommend automation platforms, considering scalability, licensing, and conversion costs.Drive AI/LLM-based POCs for OCR, unstructured data processing, and efficiency improvements.Oversee integration with SAP, MS Office Suite, databases, and GUI-based applications.Implement OCR solutions for multi-language processes, including Japanese and other complex languages.Leverage Python scripts for specialized tasks to reduce complexity and improve performance.Define and enforce performance standards for large datasets (e.g., Excel files >200MB, SAP transactions).Implement retry logic, alerting mechanisms, and error-handling strategies.Optimize automation for high-volume transactions and ensure minimal human intervention (HITL avoidance).Maintain comprehensive process documentation (AS-IS, SDD) with workload volumes.Ensure strong monitoring, control room setup, and error alerting mechanisms.Collaborate with business teams to identify automation opportunities and manage resistance to change.Partner with COE and IT teams for resource planning and platform ownership.Required Skills & Experience10+ years in RPA development and architecture (Blue Prism mandatory; Power Automate preferred).Strong knowledge of SAP automation, MS Office automation (Excel, Word, Outlook), and database integration.Experience with OCR tools and multi-language automation (Japanese preferred).Proficiency in Python scripting for automation enhancements.Hands-on experience handling large datasets and mitigating system slowdowns.Familiarity with retry logic, alerting, and control panel configurations.Understanding of AI/LLM applications in automation (OCR, unstructured data).Exposure to Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools is a plus.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Preferred QualificationsBlue Prism Developer/Architect certification.Experience in multi-geography automationKnowledge of governance frameworks and process documentation best practices.Key AttributesPragmatic approach: 'If a simple script works, use it.'Open to innovation where it adds tangible value.Strong focus on efficiency, scalability, and resource retention.
