About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer with a strong DevOps background who will help design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure in AWS and also passionate about automation, and delivering highly reliable systems. This role involves creating and supporting a platform that enables fast, secure, and reliable deployment of applications and services. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure, driving automation, observability, and performance across our cloud platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, thrives in a collaborative environment, and continuously looks for ways to improve efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

· Design, implement, and support scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation & Python).

· Manage Linux-based systems for development, staging, Performance and production environments.

· Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, adhering to DevOps best practices and governance.

· Monitor and ensure availability and performance across environments — infrastructure, network, databases, applications, and logs.

· Respond to and troubleshoot incidents related to system health and performance.

· Contribute to automation and tooling to improve deployment and operational workflows.

· Research and evaluate new tools/technologies for better infrastructure management and automation.

Required Skills

· 6-8 years of hands-on DevOps experience in production environments.

· Proficient in AWS services: EC2, VPC, ECS (Fargate/EC2), CloudFormation, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, etc.

· Strong knowledge of Linux and troubleshooting.

· Solid experience with Shell scripting (Bash) and Python.

· Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

· Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools (ECS, Kubernetes).

Preferred Skills

· Exposure to Kafka and Zookeeper in a production setting.

· Familiarity with build and deployment tools: Jenkins, Maven, npm.

· Knowledge of infrastructure automation/config management: Chef, Puppet, Ansible.

· Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity practices.

Soft Skills

· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

· A proactive mindset and ownership attitude towards reliability and uptime.

· Clear communication skills and ability to document processes and architecture.
