We are looking for a Senior DBT Data Engineer (DBT, SQL) to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data transformation pipelines using DBT and SQL. This role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on data engineering skills, and the ability to collaborate across business and technology stakeholders.

As a Senior DBT Data Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and develop DBT models and SQL transformations to support data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Gather requirements, translate into technical solutions, ensure code quality, manage deployments, and deliver robust data products.
  • Optimization & Standards: Ensure query optimization, adherence to best practices, and maintain standardized coding frameworks for DBT projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Data Architects, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to deliver trusted and consistent data models.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain clear documentation, follow data governance principles, and contribute to metadata management.
  • Enhancements & Maintenance: Continuously improve existing pipelines, resolve issues proactively, and identify opportunities for efficiency.

For this position as Senior DBT Data Engineer, we are looking for someone with:

  • Primary Skill Area: Data Management & Analytics

  • Technology: DBT - Expert

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with DBT in production environments

  • Programming: Advanced SQL expertise, with proven experience in building and optimizing complex queries

  • Secondary Skill Area: Data Management & Analytics

  • Technology: Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or equivalent) Strong working knowledge

  • Experience: 5+ years in data engineering, preferably with large-scale data transformation and analytics platforms

  • Additional Skills

  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD integration for DBT projects

  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques (Kimball, Data Vault, etc.)

  • Knowledge of orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster) is a plus

  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in cross-functional, multicultural teams

  • Familiarity with Power BI or other visualization tools is beneficial
