Job Summary:

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and committed to delivering outstanding service. As a barista, you will prepare and serve beverages (primarily coffee and tea), handle customer transactions, and maintain a clean and welcoming café environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and take accurate drink and food orders.

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as espresso, coffee, teas, and specialty drinks.

Operate coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) safely and efficiently.

Ensure consistency in drink quality and presentation.

Maintain knowledge of the menu, including seasonal items and promotions.

Provide excellent customer service and handle customer concerns or complaints professionally.

Keep work area clean, organized, and well-stocked, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies.

Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.

Handle cash, card transactions, and operate the POS system.

Assist with opening and closing duties as required.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a café, coffee shop, or customer service role (preferred but not required).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions.

Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Repetitive motion with hands/wrists (grinding, tamping, pouring).
