ADF/SSIS/Azure Integration Developer

These services have applicability acrossa variety of industries including banking & financial services, insurance,retail, higher education, food, healthcare, and manufacturing. The roleWorking aspart of the Integration team the post holder will be responsible for developingand supporting ADF, SSIS and Azure integration solutions based on theIntegration Team development framework. This will involve working with teammembers, other relevant IT Teams, and areas of the University business, toensure that system integration solutions are delivered efficiently and inaccordance with the IT Integration strategy, complementing wider IT andUniversity strategies and initiatives.   Key Responsibilities·       Proficient in Azure Data Factory (ADF). We havea programme of works moving from SSIS to ADF·       Experience of providing solutions using SQLServer Integration Services (SSIS)·       Experience of Azure DevOps and Logic Apps.·       Develop system integration solutions followingthe IT Project framework. Liaise with the IT Project Team, IT SolutionsArchitects and/or the University business where appropriate to facilitatesuccessful project delivery. ·       Deliver integration solutions in accordance withthe Integration Team development framework/strategy, this may involveco -ordinating work with third party consultants/suppliers. ·       Create and maintain operational and supportdocumentation for newly implemented integrations. ·       Pro -actively contribute to the support anddevelopment of existing integrations.·       Manage integration based service incidents andchange requests, ensuring that at all times requests are handled correctly andthe service offering is to the highest standard.·       Assist in providing resource estimates forsystem integration projects, to feed into the overall Integration Team resourceplanning.·       Pro -actively contribute to continual serviceimprovement of integration procedures, to improve working practices and theservices offered to the University.·       Actively contribute to discussions, daily standups and bi -weekly spring reviews and retrospectivesRequired Skills and Qualifications·       6 to 8 years of experience in similar orrelated roles within IT integration or data engineering.·       Degree, HND, NVQ 4 qualified or equivalent inrelevant subject/relevant formal training, plus a number of years' experiencein similar or related roles.·       ITIL Foundation Service Management experience.·       Experience of providing solutions using SQLServer Integration Services, Azure Data Factory, Oracle, or an equivalent toolset.·       Experience with Oracle SQL and/or MS SQLrelational databases and tools.·       An understanding of Web Services/APIs (REST andSOAP), XML/JSON, XSLT.·       Knowledge of authentication and transportsecurity considerations such as OAuth, SSL, and HTTPS.·       Experience of a variety of development processessuch as Agile and Waterfall.·       Experience of delivering and supporting ITservices in an educational organisation.·       An understanding of system integration, theprinciple of middleware, and the complexities of transferring data betweensystems from both a technical and data accountability perspective.Certifications• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data EngineerAssociate (preferred).• ITIL Foundation Certification in ServiceManagement (required).
