Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Service Desk Engineer located in Bengaluru. The Service Desk Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and delivering excellent customer service. Daily tasks will include managing help desk requests, resolving service desk tickets, and ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical problems.

  • Act as the local point of contact for onsite IT support, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of user requests.
  • Identify service and operational gaps, propose improvements, and support documentation updates for local processes.
  • Guide and educate users on IT policies, tools, and security practices, ensuring compliance with global standards.
  • Manage and coordinate regional IT stock and resources effectively.
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to global IT processes, policies, and security standards at the regional level.
  • Optimize first-line support services by enhancing processes, communication, and user experience.
  • Escalate operational issues to the right teams and coordinate resolution across IT functions.
  • Deliver solutions independently on both structured and unstructured problems, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on technology trends and contribute creative ideas to improve local operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience in IT operations, service support, or end-user computing.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management practices (ITIL Foundation certification preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint support.
  • Good understanding of IT security and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in managing IT assets and local stock/inventory.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage users and stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify gaps and drive improvements.
