Power BI QA Engineer – P&C Insurance

Job Description:

We are looking for a Power BI QA Engineer with strong experience in validating BI dashboards, data accuracy, and reporting workflows within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in testing Power BI reports, validating data models, and ensuring end-to-end data quality across ETL layers and business KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional, UI, data, and regression testing for Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Validate DAX calculations, data models, measures, and KPI logic.
  • Test data pipelines, ETL workflows, and source-to-target mappings for accuracy.
  • Work closely with BI developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data integrity.
  • Create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
  • Ensure all reports align with P&C insurance business processes, metrics, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in QA/testing of Power BI dashboards and data models.
  • Experience with SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Good understanding of P&C insurance concepts (policy, claims, underwriting, premiums, losses, reserves).
  • Familiarity with ETL/data warehouse testing and BI lifecycle.
  • Experience with reporting validation tools, test management tools, or automation is a plus.
