About the Role

We are seeking a
Senior WordPress Developer

with at least
5 years of professional experience

to take ownership of multiple WordPress websites and digital projects. This role requires someone who can handle
end-to-end development

— from design to deployment — while ensuring performance, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with the marketing team to create high-performing websites, campaign landing pages, and integrations that support CLS's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and management of multiple WordPress websites.
  • Customize and build WordPress themes, plugins, and templates to meet diverse project needs.
  • Convert UI/UX designs into fully functional, responsive websites with pixel-perfect precision.
  • Optimize sites for speed, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Implement eCommerce solutions using WooCommerce.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ensure websites follow best practices for security, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Integrate third-party tools (APIs, CRMs, marketing platforms).
  • Manage hosting, domains, backups, and ongoing site maintenance.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team and stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum
    5 years of proven experience

in WordPress design and development.
- Advanced proficiency in
PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL

.
- Deep knowledge of WordPress core, plugin architecture, and theme development.
- Hands-on experience with
WooCommerce

and eCommerce integrations.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and debugging tools.
- Ability to manage multiple websites simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, schema markup, and Google Analytics.
- Exposure to multilingual website development (WPML, Polylang).
- Experience integrating CRMs and marketing automation tools.
