 Key ResponsibilitiesA. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with government ministries (State & Central), industry bodies (e.g., FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM), trade chambers, and sector-specific think tanks.

  • Represent Essar in external policy dialogues and advocacy platforms; prepare talking points, position papers, and whitepapers for leadership.

  • Drive proactive engagement with embassies, consulates, and international delegations aligned with Essar's global investments.

B. Corporate Brand & Thought Leadership

  • Collaborate with internal marketing and communications teams to develop thought leadership content—op-eds, sectoral reports, interviews, and brand showcases for senior leadership.

  • Curate and manage Essar's presence in key economic forums (e.g., WEF, India Energy Week, COP summits) to reflect its energy transition and green portfolio shift.

  • Track public policy and macroeconomic developments and provide strategic inputs to the Board and senior management.

C. Enterprise Communications & Alignment

  • Support strategic communications between group leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure consistency in Essar's corporate narrative across speeches, investor materials, government presentations, and media appearances.

  • Collaborate with business heads to develop context-specific messaging for expansions, acquisitions, partnerships, and divestments.

D. Event Management & External Affairs

  • Lead organization and coordination of high-impact leadership participation in domestic and global business conferences.

  • Develop briefing notes, event scripts, and communication kits for external-facing leadership engagements.

  • Serve as the CRG POC for protocol coordination, event strategy, and follow-up documentation.

  • 8–12 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, external communications, or corporate strategy roles.

  • Prior experience in large diversified conglomerates, energy/infrastructure sectors, or Big-4/consulting/Govt liaison firms is preferred.

  • Master's in Public Policy / Communications / Business Administration from a reputed institution.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive writing skills.

  • Deep understanding of government functioning, regulatory environment, and public policy frameworks.

  • Strong relationship-building skills across political, administrative, and corporate domains.

  • Strategic thinking and the ability to navigate ambiguity across geographies and business units.
